Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Beat butter and both sugars until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
In separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9-11 minutes until golden. Cool on sheet 2 minutes.
